Steam is getting the feature gamers have been waiting for!

Ana sayfa / Technology

Steam, the most popular digital store in the gaming world, may finally be getting the support gamers have been waiting for. Valve is allegedly developing a screen recording tool that will work directly on Steam. The new feature will allow gamers to record video on Steam without the need for third-party software.

Today, gamers use programs like NVIDIA ShadowPlay, AMD ReLive or Windows Game Bar to record video on Windows. But Valve’s inclusion of a recording option in the app will simplify this process.

When enabled in games with Steam Overlay support, users will use a hotkey like F12 to start recording their screen. This will start video recording directly within the app.

No one is working on Cyberpunk 2077 anymore

New data from CD Projekt Red has revealed that no developers are currently working on Cyberpunk 2077. Here are the details...

The feature under development is planned to go beyond simple recordings. It will offer background recording and continuous image capture. Most importantly, certain games may have timeline markers within the recording interface. So it could automatically capture certain scenes while playing Counter-Strike 2.

Recordings, screenshots and other media on Steam will be stored in 1 GB of cloud storage. Clips and screenshots can be shared to Steam community profiles, forums and social networks.

While video recording support for Steam has yet to be announced, it’s clear that Valve is focused on simplifying content sharing. A built-in recording tool would also be useful for platforms like YouTube and Twitch.
